So to demonstrate that biotech is sexy, the international biotech conference in Toronto held a fashion show. Models graced the walkway in designer clothing made of fermented corn sugar. These one-of-a-kind outfits were created by name designers like Oscar de la Renta, Setphen Burrows, and Elisa Jimenez. Presumably one can recycle these into corn fritters or jet fuel.
