One of America’s favorite toys is Mattel’s line of Hot Wheels cars. Other than body
designs, the toy has changed little over the years. (Mattel also owns Matchbox and Tyco, the number two and three model cars after Hot Wheels.) And while this simple low-tech toy continues to enchant, Mattel is always looking ahead.
