The company is still around certainly, but their product line now includes all kinds of audio and visual analog and digital media from tapes, disks, flash drives to headphones and iPod accessories. To regain some of their lost cache, Maxwell has decided to resurrect the blow-away guy from the 1970s, “a hip young man sitting in a large armchair who is so moved by the outstanding performance of Maxell music products that his hair is blown back from his head and he is practically blown out of the chair.” The character will be featured in an online game, billboard, print and other promotions.
