We have followed the trials and triumphs of

are entitled to this update regarding the selection of
Paco as the new spokesdog mascot for the clothing chain. Paco is a two-year old shaggy dog from Venice Beach, CA who won the hearts of thousands of consumers in a popularity contest to replace Old Navy's former mascot,
Magic, who first appeared in company back-to-school ads in July 1995. Paco was selected from more than 120, 000 entries in Old Navy’s Canine Casting Call. Paco’s owners won a trip for two to LA for a photo shoot, and $ 7,000 spending money. "Paco perfectly captures the spirit and optimism of Old Navy," says an announcement at
