Television Viewing Reaches New Low
You don’t need Marketing Blurb to tell you that television is over rated. This applies to parade.jpgboth programming and advertising. And it seems that last week, over viewers had more important things to do. According to Nielsen Media Research, last week was the least-watch week of television in recorded history for the four biggest networks. Associated Press reported that “CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox averaged 20.8 million viewers during the average prime-time minute last week, according to Nielsen Media Research. That sunk below the previous record of 21.5 million, set during the last week of July in 2005.” Of course, viewer ship often drops over the July 4th holiday—but not to this degree. Marketing Blurb believes marketers everywhere should celebrate this milestone by advertising in other venues.
