KFC wants you to forget their name is actually Kentucky Fried Chicken, and they
shortened the name to initials to sound hipper and to duck and run from the word “fried.” But KFC wants you to remember Colonel Sanders, the charming southern gentleman with the goatee and funny glasses. Colonel Sanders is a man you can love; a man you wish was your uncle. Of course the image of The Colonel has changed over the years. His original image bore a striking resemblance to Alfred E. Neumann of
Mad Magazine. Since then, however, his image has grown more iconic. And we just learned from
Slashfood, that The Colonel received a subtle maker over with fewer lines and a bold red apron. Yes, the chicken will still kill you, but Uncle Sanders is always your friend.

Funny you mention the "Colonel." As I was going through all my various businesses etc., I found he was one of my inspirations.
I admired that he reinvented himself at such a late stage of his life and so enjoyed what he did.
Thinking about him at times helped me to persevere through some of my own ups and downs.
