If you have always wanted to shop at the grocery store from hell—here is your chance. Petrucci’s Market IGA in Burgettstown, PA just rebuilt their flood-damaged store as co-branded IGA McDonald’s Frankenstein grocery. The McDonald’s restaurant is independently owned, but like a grade B monster movie, both merchants are joined at the hip, and probably share the equivalent of a single brain. The new co-branded location is “simply a part of working to the greater good of community activism and development," said Dr. Thomas Haggai, chairman and CEO of IGA, in a statement.”  The Burgettstown location is considered a test. IGA and McDonald’s will not comment whether other such locations are planned. Marketing Blurb fears this concept just might succeed and spawn a race of mutant grocery stores.
