When we watch the evening news, we are convinced the world is going to hell. While this may well be true, we are grateful to learn that simple childhood pleasures like Play-Doh are still available to sooth our frazzled sensibilities. We love Play-Doh because it is a simple product that looks fun and then always delivers. We just learned from
Promo Magazine, that Play-Doh is teaming up a Snip-Its, a nationwide hair salon for
children, to offer the
Snip, Style, and Win promotion. The deal is simple enough. Kids go to the salon and get to play with Play-Doh (including a special hair styling kit) before or after their haircut. When they are finished with their haircut, they exchange a lock of hair for a prize. Prize winners receive a birthday celebration, and the grand prize winner receives a vacation for four to the Caribbean. Everyone leaves with at least an ounce can of Play-Doh. The promotion coincides with the 50th anniversary of the magic compound. This promotion sounds like fun, and made our day—until the evening news, anyway.
