We like brownies more than the next pundit. But we are really fussy, and only eat homemade. So we are not really a candidate for the new brownie dessert offering at Domino’s Pizza called Fudgems. Now get this: “Our market research shows that customers love the idea of rounding out their pizza meal with warm, delicious brownies,” Ken Cawell, CMO for the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based chain said in a statement. Marketing Blurb suspects Domino’s customers would happily round off their pizza meal with two tons of malted milk balls if offered. But in any case, the new product is supported by a giant three-foot brownie character of the same name—Fudgems. And get this; you dip these puppies in chocolate sauce. Fudgems will appear in radio and television advertising, inserts, and a website later this month. You can peek at www.fudgems.com after August 17th—it’s not ready now! It might now be possible to eat a delicious meal at Dominos and die before you reach your car in the parking lot—just kidding—we eat pizza and brownies, too—but generally not during the same meal.
