Marketing Blurb loves food more than the next pundit. We refuse to eat at fast food restaurants, and we prefer to eat at our kitchen or dining room table rather than in our car or in front of a television screen. But for folks who have forgotten the joy of these simple rituals, Sara Lee has launched a new campaign called The Joy of Eating. The campaign which begins this week does not promote a specific brand, but rather, emphasizes the entire product line of Sara Lee deli, bakery and dessert products. The television spots concentrate on people with their mouths full savoring the food. This will be supported by POS, new packaging, and delivery truck make-overs. You will also enjoy the campaign website called thejoyofeating.com, which includes recipes to goose Sara Lee pound cake, bagels and coffee cake. The idea is to celebrate an emotional attachment to food, rather than food as just a functional necessary of a busy life.
