The only thing better than one M&M candy, is a fist-full of M&Ms. This simple chocolate with the candy-coated shell is a staple of Americana. So it seems fitting that your fistful is personalized. Candy maker Masterfoods USA just announced there are offering custom production runs for the popular candy with can include your company logo or advertising message. Called “My Branding,” the program is intended for individuals and companies to order personalized M&Ms in bulk for party favors or corporate gifts. The personalized costs seem reasonable--$ 100 set up fee and then $22.50 to $30 per pound for the M&Ms, depending on the order. Ready-made messages will also be available with birthday and anniversary greetings. Jim Cass of Masterfoods, says the business already generates between 800 and 1,000 orders a day from a database of about 250,000 customers. "We think for sure that this business can probably handle a million customers [a year] over the next three or four years." We learned about this opportunity from Reuters.
