October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You will no doubt encounter various promotions to support the noble cause of breast cancer research--but we wanted to draw your attention to the Pink Tag effort by Kroger Stores. Beginning October 1st, Kroger will add pink tags on selected products nationwide. A portion of the sale of these specially tagged products will support breast cancer awareness and research. Participating products “include Kellogg's Eggo, Keebler and Sunshine items, Coca-Cola's Powerade and Minute Maid brands and Breyers, Ragu and Wishbone products under the Unilever umbrella.” Kroger will also pink tag some of their Private Selection house brand items. Campbell’s soup is participating with a distinctive limited edition pink and white can for their popular Chicken Noodle and Tomato flavors. Kroger expects to raise $ 3 million with this effort.
