Danica Patrick jumping ship from Rahal Letterman Racing Team to join Andretti Green Racing. The move made sense for Danica, but the real issue was the status of advertisers supporting both racing teams. Well, we know now that Argent mortgage decided Danica was move valuable than the Rahal Letterman Racing Team, and as such, followed her to Andretti
Green Racing. But the news today is from another sponsor. Motorola announced a three-year title sponsorship for Danica’s Indy racing season.
Advertising Age (free registration required,) estimates the deal is worth $ 25 million. Patrick will drive a jet black puppy with blue accents and the number 7. Her secondary sponsors include XM Satellite Radio, GoDaddy.com, Air Tran, and current sponsor Argent Mortgage. We wish Danica well, and hope she will finally take the checked flag at the Indianapolis 500.
