The folks at Redux Beverages in Las Vegas launched a new brand called Cocaine Energy Drink with a $ 37.50 sample mailed to the New York Post. The Post wrote about beverage, and the concoction available only in New York and California sold out immediately. No, the beverage does not contain cocaine. Billed as “The Legal Alternative,” Cocaine Energy Drink is just stoked to the gills with caffeine—more than a Starbucks Grande and 350% more than Red Bull, the number 1 energy drink in the $ 8 billion category. Once back in stock, the beverage will be sold via Amazon and the company website www.drinkcocaine.com. Bottles should reach clubs and retail stores by year’s end. The company website received 6.7 million visitors in less than a week, and Redux Beverages has no immediate plans to increase their marketing budget. Vivendi Universal has propositioned Redux to sponsor the launch of an upcoming video game version of the cocaine-themed movie Scarface. We will stick with black coffee.
