Marketing Blurb loves Cinnabon and Carvel Ice Cream more than the next pundit. We rarely enjoy either, because we discovered that just the aroma of baked items from Cinnabon actually contains about 400 second-hand calories. We did not know, however, that Carvel Ice Cream acquired Cinnabon back in 2004. Since then, the company has opened about 30 co-branded stores selling both Carvel ice cream and Cinnabon iced cinnamon buns under one roof. But wait—there’s more! Our friends at Media Post Publications told us that Focus (the parent company of Carvel/Cinnabon) just introduced a new ice cream that get this—combines Carvel vanilla ice cream, crunchy vanilla topping and chunks of white pound cake with the cinnamon flavor and cream-cheese frosting of Cinnabon's cinnamon rolls. Called Cinnabon Ice Cream, you can devour this puppy as hand-dipped scoops or as an ice cream cake Carvelog. We figure life is short, and if we ever encounter one of these combined Carvel Cinnabon locations, we are going to slather our body with this product.
