Marketing Blurb has suffered through too many boxed lunches in crowded convention halls. The first thing we do is throw away the top layer of sandwich bread, which is often three to four inches of tasteless mush. We then struggle to enjoy an open faced sandwich. (We also throw out the mini bag of Cheetos which turn our fingers orange, and the cup of macaroni, which while flavorful, was prepared and packaged in preservatives 15 years ago.) But enough about us, the fast food industry has finally realized that consumers appreciate crispier, thinner, and taster bread. The hot new items are Panini bread, focaccia, and flatbread-garnished salads served in various combinations by Wendy’s, Subway’s, Quiznos, and others. Marketing Blurb thinks this is a promising development, and while we are not keen on fast food, we insist that bread have texture and flavor worth ingesting. Just say no to boxed lunches.
