
Lately I've been doing some work with a small dedicated blog hosting company named LivingDot. I have been incredibly impressed with their customer service. They respond promptly (even at 11pm on the Friday after Thanksgiving) with well-written and knowledgeable answers. And their high-level of service is included for free in their reasonable rates.
Rackspace is another company with a similarly fanatical approach to customer service. When you call someone answers the phone. Period. No messages. A real, living, breathing person.
What I love about both of these companies is that they've taken a commodity and turned it into something more. Something that I would gladly pay a premium for but thankfully don't have to.
Brilliant.
