If you hang around the blogosphere long enough, you will get caught up in a debate of partial text RSS feeds vs. full text RSS feeds.
Partial text feeds are attractive to publishers because by providing only a tempting taste of each post they supposedly entice readers to click through to the website where the publisher can make money via ads. But from a reader perspective, they are really annoying due to the extra hoops you have to jump through.
Full text feeds are better for the reader but are considered harder to monetize. Also there are some publisher concerns around content theft and other such issues.
However, one publisher recently jumped from partial feeds to full feeds and found that their subscriber growth accelerated, their revenue went up and their engagement and community participation increased.
Now those are a strong arguments for full text feeds!
