Is your Marketing Intimate?

intimate%20brunch.jpg

Narendra Rocherolle of 30 Boxes, a calendar start-up, recently advocated and explained the advantage of intimacy in marketing.

Intimacy is achieved via acting human, thinking small, and being personal. Narendra points to Flickr as one great example of this. I would point to Craigslist as another.

How can you apply as a marketing force in your business? A few ideas...

  1. Have a human answer the phone not a machine.
  2. Launch a blog where you talk openly and write in a personal voice
  3. Answer all your email promptly with a personalized response
  4. Participate in the community online and off
  5. Share ________________

I'd encourage you all to think about how these small things can truly change your business and accelerate your marketing, one intimate customer interaction at a time.
