
As a marketer, the ability to reach the right audience is critical. And for many businesses the right audience is the local audience. Recent developments online have made doing just that easier.
First, there is the fact that local reviews are hot and gaining momentum. From start-up like Yelp to major initiatives like AskCity from Ask.com to the old school powerhouse CitySearch, there have never been more places for local audiences to connect with businesses.
Second, local search (and thus local advertising) is seeing some major movement from big and small players. The initiatives are too many to list as a simple google search shows.
