"The problem with marketing isn't that there isn't enough money to spend. The problem is that the people who are spending it are sometimes lazy, selfish, committee-centric, confused or scared. They know better. Of course they do. They just need to be reminded sometimes."
The recent post from Seth Godin really struck a nerve with me.
I guess every industry has this. The pushy salespeople who give all the good salespeople a bad name. The egotistical lawyer or doctor who does the same. And for marketers, the ones that waste their budget.
Can you think of a better way to spend $5 million a year? I can. A bunch of them.

A-MEN, Eric!
Seth's article struck the same nerve with me. I am tired of bloated budgets wasted on regurgitated marketing efforts.
I think if the big budgets were cut, people would become more creative and accountable with what they have to work with.
