Earlier, Paul Colligan posted about how PodcastPickle recently passed Podshow in terms of reach according to Alexa stats (which have some problems but stay with me for now).
The key difference between the companies as Paul points out is that Podshow has raised $15 million in VC funding and PodcastPickle has bootstrapped their business.
Think about the exit strategy bar that Podshow has to get over compared to PodcastPickle's. Whew!
Now, Podshow will probably do just fine. They're out in front of a huge trend in the form of podcasting and they've had some significant success already.
I think the key lessons for marketers and entrepreneurs is that the more affordably you can achieve your growth goals the higher the potential ROI and the sooner you can potentially exit.
