John Cook of the Seattle P-I recently covered the opening of The Branding Foundary; an interesting new business from Rowland Hanson, the former Microsoft marketing guru who came up with the name Windows.
According to their website:
TBF is a full-circle funding, branding, and marketing company designed to be a one-stop resource for inventors and entrepreneurs with products and services that clearly have tremendous potential if introduced to the market properly.
It is a common entrepreneurial adage that even the best technology or idea needs good marketing to succeed. And TBF's team definitely brings some serious marketing experience to bring to the table. That experience and their capital comes at a price as they take 75% ownership.
