Alarm:Clock recently reported that "Silicon Valley’s Bessemer Venture Partners and the European Founders Fund invested $12.8M in LinkedIn placing a value of more than $250M on the business social network."
AC goes on hypothesize that:
There are two groups of people for whom LinkedIn is of tremendous value: headhunters/recruiters and those looking for a job. The rest of us are just treading water with LinkedIn.
I wonder if they're right? Are power users who leverage their LinkedIn network for more than job searches or recruiting or all we all just treading water?
How do you use LinkedIn? Marketing your consulting services? Meeting investors?
