Fred Thompson is the second best would be candidate for the office of U.S. President; the best person, regardless of political party, is Newt Gingrich.

Fred, I'm overjoyed that a man of principle and dedication to the American way is going to run for President.

One word of caution - choose your own team. Do not surround yourself with those that advised President Bush. President Bush was given a lot of inaccurate information by his advisors, and unfortunately for President Bush, he was not able to sort through the inaccuracies and know what real America was/is all about.

My prayers are with you, wishing you the best of luck in your presidential aspirations, but please, do not hang on to President Bush's advisors.

I am thrilled to see that Fred Thompson may run for President. I just saw him on Hammity and Colmes and his comments are "right on" with my feelings-especially regarding the Iraq War, the threat of terroism, and radical Islam. There are other issues of course, but this is so much more important than any other threat facing our nation and the Free World.

Americans, and indeed the entire World is so very misguided. WE are the noble ones-the people who saved the World in WWI,WWII, and always fight for freedom and against tyranny. I would really like to talk with someone in his newly launched campaign. I believe I could help shed some light on how to reach the American people-how to rally them. We need someone who can forcefully present a plan against the dysfunction that is the Middle East and radical Islam.

We are facing a catastrohphe of immense propostions if we turn to "pre-WWII mentality" of neutrality and hide our heads in the sand. The VAST majority of Americans in 1938-39 wanted nothing to do with entering a foreign war. Let the other nations fight off the barbaric Nazi and Imperial Japanese war machines.

My God, if we hadn't entered that war the World would be a dark and evil place to this day. Millions died and many more millions would have without our brave men and women dying on the beaches of Normandy, in the farmlands of Belgium, on the tropical islands of the Pacific. We had to be sneak attacked for us to act, but act we did. The World needs a leader who reminds everyone of this and confronts the new evil.

The Middle East is being led by tyrants and despots, people who lie to their people, enrage them against the Western World, all the while keeping them in keep them in poverty and ignorance so they can remain in power.

The Free World must have a staunch leader and Fred Thompson sure seems to be a good bet.

I urge someone from his campaign to respond to my offer of some real down to earth ideas on how to ignite the campaign for Fred Thompson.

During his eight years in the Senate, Thompson won his free trade credentials with his votes to extend the president's fast-track trade promotion authority and to approve permanent trading relations with China. One right-wing critic in a widely circulated internet column called Thompson a "neocon globalist" for his immigration, free trade, and foreign policy positions.
Social conservatives are also likely to question Thompson's "liberal" voting record on immigration. Although Thompson has recently written and spoken out about the need for strong border control, while in the Senate he voted to increase visas for skilled foreign workers and to increase permits for unskilled foreign farm workers. Overall, Americans for Better Immigration, an anti-immigration lobbying group, gives Thompson a career grade of C for his mixed voting record. Thompson will likely come under withering criticism from anti-immigrant candidate Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO), who mixes his social conservatism with a heavy dose of nationalism and anti-corporate populism.

Well, just when we thought we might need a Republican bull dog to pull this election off, here is Senator Thompson. I'm still learning about him, but what I've found out so far, I like. He's not sexey. He does appear to be smart. He's liberally conservative (in some eyes). He's old enough to know better about a lot of things. He does not appear to have an agenda for personal aspiration. I genuinely believe he has a sole mission -- to serve America. Someone has to stand out in the crowd of candidates. There is a huge difference in the platforms considering the Democrats and Republicans. Less government interference along with more personal freedoms are still possible with a common sense, honest campaign. I'm looking for a guy who's not afraid to say he believes in God but also believes it's a woman's right to choose to have an abortion. I'm looking for someone who realizes the importance of stem cell research. I want someone who believes in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights...not just Article 1 but Article 2, also. I'm looking for someone who is not afraid to make a tough decision after so many years of unbridled permissiveness which has affected the way children are brought up and educated. I need someone to address the illegal immigration problem...not with amnesty but with legal action. 100 years ago with people coming here from Europe, American society did not change to accommodate them. English was still spoken and it was their responsibility to learn the language to operate in American society. Why now, do Spanish speaking people think it's any different especially when they're in this country illegally? Is Fred Thompson the guy who can speak for Americans like me?

Fred Thompson is a sexual-pervert. How can we have a sexual deviant as our president? I thought we just got rid of one of those!!!

Fred, will you enforce the laws? What American needs now more than anything is a President who will reclaim America for Americans.

What that will entail would be to take America back to its roots and to re-establish the Constitution as it was set forth all those years ago by our very wise founders of this country. Remember the one that we all learned about in Grade School but that has somehow been lost in this "politically correct" society today?

We want and need a President who will stand up for America and Americans and that will mean he will need to ETL. Enforce the Laws especially in regard to immigration. This great country was not built or intended to be a get-a-way for anyone, but was intended to be a land of opportunity.

We are not trying to be selfish about the opportunities that are available here, but we do want everyone to earn that opportunity through the equal and proper lawful channels equally.

Will you do this? If you will do this, you would be voted President of the United States hands down, because this is what the majority of Americans want for this great country.

We want America back for Americans.
