I've been on a product placement kick lately, so I thought it would be timely to share a list of my top five product placements on reality television. Earlier this month, I posted about product placement in reality television asking if it's too in your face. I shared an example of what I consider to be over-the-top and ineffective product placement of Olay Ribbons Body Wash on Survivor. That got me to thinking about good product placement. I chose the five examples in the following list because I think the product is appropriate for the television show.
1. Travelocity and The Amazing Race
2. Kenmore (from Sears) and Top Chef
3. Parsons School of Design and Project Runway
4. Nexxus and Shear Genius
5. Propel Fitness Water and Work Out
Can you think of more appropriate product placements in reality TV or regular programming?
