I've been wondering this for awhile now. Why over the course of the last year or so have so many companies created television advertisements featuring Bigfoot?![]()
I watched TV for about an hour last night and saw commercials from Jack Link's Beef Jerky and Cold Stone Creamery. I did a search on YouTube for "Bigfoot commercial" and was surprised by the number of valid results that came up. I was familiar with some of the advertisers, but I was surprised by just how many have used Sasquatch in ad campaigns lately.
Here is a list of just a few companies on the Bigfoot-Bandwagon list:
- Jack Link's Beef Jerky
- Cold Stone Creamery
- Volkswagen
- Converse
- Ask.com
- Boston Pizza
- Meijer
- Nevada Committe to Control and Regulate Marijuana
Am I the only one who doesn't understand the popularity of using Bigfoot in commercials?

He's big, he's bold, he's beautiful...I love those "Messing with Bigfoot" commercials from Jack Link's, especially the one where the hikers put the sleeping Sasquatch's hand in warm water. I've never heard whether that actually works; but remembered trying that a few times while camping with family, friends or when I was in Boy Scouts.
