Today, CNNMoney.com's Fortune Magazine named the 100 Fastest Growing Companies in the United States for 2007. At the top of the list was Nutrisystem with 433% EPS growth, 225% revenue growth and 244% total return.![]()
An interesting point about the 2007 list of the 100 Fastest Growing Companies in the USA is that 37% of the companies on the list are from the energy sector. Also, very few companies are from the financial sector as you might expect based on what's been going on in sub-prime lending.
Here are the top ten companies on the list of the 100 Fastest Growing Companies in the USA from Fortune:
- Nutrisystem
- Hansen Natural
- Arena Resources
- Intuitive Surgical
- Titanium Metals
- Apple
- RTI International Metals
- Dynamic Materials
- Southern Copper
- Global Industries
Do any of the companies on the list jump out at you as surprising? Netflix jumped out at me. Netflix was on the list last year at #18, and the company makes another appearance this year at #46. With the competition they've been getting from Blockbuster's similar movies-by-mail business, I was surprised to see Netflix on the list.
