Thanks to my fellow Know More Media blogger, Jennifer Chait from OfficeStuffer, for bringing my attention to Blog Action Day 2007. The goal of Blog Action Day is to get as many people in the blogosphere talking about the same topic on the same day. ![]()
Blog Action Day 2007 is scheduled for October 15, 2007, and as of today, 5,522 bloggers have committed to blogging about this year's chosen topic (the environment) on Blog Action Day giving the topic a reach of nearly 4 million people.
I signed up to participate as soon as I heard about Blog Action Day. Sounds like a great way to draw attention to an important topic. Each blogger will write about the environment from his or her own unique perspective appropriate for his or her blog's audience. I'm sure there will be a lot of interesting posts to read across the blogosphere on October 15th.
If you're a blogger, you can join Blog Action Day 2007 here. You can participate by simply writing a post about the environment on October 15, 2007, and if you'd like, you can also choose to donate your blog's ad earnings from October 15th to an environmental charity.
You can see a list of bloggers who have already signed up to participate in Blog Action Day 2007 here.
