
Today, I was thinking about packaging and started searching the internet to find a cool package design to talk about on MarketingBlurb. Lucky me, I found an example I love on TheDieLine.com.![]()
AromaTherapy Interventions, a soy-based candle manufacturer in California, recently launched 19 new candle fragrances using the tagline, "Because your customers need help." Each aromatherapy candle is meant to invoke the power of natural healing as customers experience challenging events or feelings throughout their days.
Each package is a different color, but they all use the same basic graphics creating consistency for the brand. Copy on the packages includes a clever tagline related to the fragrance as well as creative copy that ties in the primary ingredients in the candle or the benefits of that fragrance.
Some of my favorites include Placebo which uses the tagline, "Your problems are of your own making. This non-therapeutic candle is all you need." Additional copy on the package says, "Essence of Placebo creates exactly the effect you are expecting."
I also like the Hypo-Chondriac fragrance which uses the tagline, "For all the problems you may not even know you have, why take the risk?" Additional copy on the package says, "Essence of tea tree has been claimed effective for acne, allergies, athlete's foot, baldness and hair care, boils and blisters, dandruff, excessive perspiration, hemorrhoids, nervous twitches, flatulence, obesity, loss of appetite, chickenpox, measles, halitosis, and general hypochondria."
The creative team behind this packaging design and copy gets my applause. In fact, I think I smell holiday gifts here. I can think of people to give many of the fragrances available in the AromaTherapy Interventions line to. How about you? Do you know someone who might enjoy one of these fragrances:

AromaTherapy Interventions is also launching 4 new fragrances this winter: All Nighter, Rebound, Version 2.0 and Extro-Version. This must have been a fun packaging and branding campaign to work on!
