At last, a car manufacturer is making a hybrid that has some style. Honda plans to unveil the Honda CRZ concept car later this month at the Tokyo Auto Show. The car mixes a sleek style with an environmentally conscious, hybrid engine.![]()
The price tag and availability remain a secret, but rumor has it the Honda CRZ will be available in the near future. According to the New York Times, the Japanese media has reported that the Honda CRZ concept car is a precursor to a new gas-electric model that Honda plans to release in 2009. If that's accurate, it would make sense that the Honda CRZ should be available very soon.
Let's hope the Honda CRZ truly is just the next step in what will quickly become a redesign of the car industry to reduce the world's reliance on oil and help preserve the environment at the same time.

What do you think of the Honda CRZ? It seems to be a natural extension of the Honda brand in terms of a hybrid vehicle, although I'm not sure if the sporty style matches the Honda brand as it exists in consumers' minds today. I think the price tag will have a lot to do with the success of the Honda CRZ.
