Move over MySpace and Facebook, there's a new kid in town named Zubby.com.  Internet guru Randy Zlobec recently launched his new social networking site dubbed Zubby.com to offer a "friendlier place to wander around in...Zubby.com is more of a family-oriented site, simply to meet new friends, share experiences and help each other out." 

I learned about Zubby.com through a forum I belong to earlier today, and I signed up as soon as I heard about the awesome promotion Zubby.com is running to generate awareness, build a user-base and reward its early adopters.  I've been really interested in social media marketing lately and the social web overall, so I like to check out all the new sites.  The early bird promotion for new members of Zubby.com piqued my interest even more. 

Zubby.com is offering a profit-sharing program to the first 1,000 people who sign up to become members.  I don't believe all the details are worked out yet about how the profit-sharing program will work, but it's an interesting concept and clearly helpful in generating an online buzz.  Zubby.com will also offer referral incentives, although that program hasn't been worked out yet either (remember, this is a brand new site).

I think this promotion is a great idea, and it certainly seems to be working.  Word is spreading fast across the internet about Randy Zlobec's new social networking site, which is being referred to as "MySpace for adults." 

If you're interested, it's not too late to get in on the early bird promotion.  I signed up this morning, and I was only the 208th member, so as of today, there are still many spaces to be filled.  I hear that word is getting out fast though and those first 1,000 spots should fill up quickly now.  It's free to join.  Just visit the Sign Up page on Zubby.com, enter the information requested, and voila - you're a member.  You'll get an email confirmation with a link you'll have to click to complete your registration followed by an invitation to join the First 1,000 Members Group if you signed up before the early bird promotion fills up.
