Yahoo! Shopping released a list of the Top Ten Most Popular Toys this holiday season based on searches. It's not surprising to see Nintendo's Wii top the list. I've been wondering if the shortage of Wiis this season was manufactured to increase the buzz about the brand (although Nintendo denies it).
On the other hand, I am surprised to see Fisher Price's TMX Elmo on the list again this year. It appears that the hot toy products haven't changed much since last year with these two recurrent favorites still on the list of the most searched for toys online.

- Bratz
- Fisher Price Smart Cycle
- T.M.X. Elmo, T.M.X. Cookie Monster and T.M.X. Ernie

- Eyeclops Bionic Eye
- Remote control toys (particularly the Havoc Helicopter)
- Leapster L-Max
I'm actually surprised that some of these are the most searched for toys because I don't think they're necessarily the most advertised this season (note I said 'some').
