Delicious H2O is apparently made from the waters of Mount Rainier in Washington. This brand of water is not just for anyone but rather only for the most discerning H2O drinker - or at least that's what they want us to think with their high end packaging.![]()
The packaging for Delicious H2O is reminiscent of a wine bottle (thanks to TheDieLine.com for finding this one). The manufacturers claim that bottling water in glass makes it taste better. Who knows if that's true, but the glass packaging certainly creates the perception of luxury and a high-end brand and product.
Delicious H2O calls itself a "fine bottled water company." I wasn't able to find the price point for Delicious H2O (it was launched in 2007), but I wonder how well it will do. What do you think? Would you buy water in a glass bottle that looks like a wine bottle? Is this a product only targeted to the wealthy and people hoping to impress their friends or would average people buy it, too? In other words, do you buy into the high-end branding of Delicious H2O?

I'll stick with my fridge-filtered water, but then again I'm probably not their demographic. I can't imagine who would be willing to pay that kind of money for something non-alcoholic, but then again I recall an episode of "Mad About You" where a person who performed voiceovers insisted on a particular high-end brand of water before & during his performance.
