
Yahoo! (NASDAQ: YHOO) CEO Jerry Yang has one more trick up his sleeve that might just make Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) up its ante. It seems, Yahoo! is poised to launch a revolutionary online advertising platform (code name: Apex) that might make the company's assertion that Microsoft's bid "massively undervalues" Yahoo! more realistic.![]()
Yang claims that Apex will make the entire system of buying and selling ad space online easier. Apex will allow advertisers to run campaigns with video, search, display, mobile and more new formats in an efficient manner. Sue Decker, Yahoo! president, compared Apex to the DVR in terms of introducing time-shifted viewing capabilities.
