Here's a product that won't require much marketing creativity - the product not only looks super cool, but it's also good for the environment and your wallet. The Aptera car from Accelerated Composites (AC) gets a hefty 230 miles per gallon. It's a 2-seater (technically a motorcycle) that should be available in California in 2008.![]()
Based on the popularity of the Toyota Prius, I'm sure the market for the Aptera is out there. The approximate price for the all electric version is $26,900 and the plug-in hybrid is expected to cost $29,900 when production begins later this year.
I know I'd love to have a car that gets 230 miles per gallon! How about you? Would you consider buying an Aptera? Do you think the Aptera has a shot at becoming popular and rolling out nationally?
Check out this commercial from Touchstone Energy Cooperatives that features the Aptera.
