In case you haven't heard, John McCain is entering the Twilight Zone. Not sure what I'm talking about? Just watch the spot in the YouTube video below and you'll understand.
I'm not just confused by the music and out-of-this-world imagery, but I'm also disturbed by the Children of the Corn-esque scene toward the end of the spot. All I can say is, "What were they thinking?"
After two minutes, I'm still not sure what this John McCain ad is telling the audience of voters. What's the message? What does it mean that John McCain is the "man in the arena"? Is he becoming an ultimate fighter?
Unfortunately, this ad fails in terms of concept and copy.

I'm confused by the "otherworldly" images as well. What is the message this spot is supposed to convey? Whatever it is, the fact that we don't get it is an indication that the spot is not very affective.
