In a move one might expect from Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears, 15-year old Miley Cyrus agreed to pose nude for a Vanity Fair photo shoot. She's partially covered with a blanket, but it's still the type of photo that does not match the Disney (NYSE: DIS) image. 
Since Miley Cyrus is the biggest Disney star and the Hannah Montana franchise brings in big bucks, it's not surprising that Disney freaked when the powers that be saw Miley Cyrus naked.
The reaction from Miley's camp was to do a 180. Before Disney had their say, Miley and her people (including her family) praised the photos and the opportunity. Now, they claim Miley is ashamed of them and wishes she hadn't taken it all off for Vanity Fair.

Regardless of what the Miley Cyrus PR machine is trying to spin now, the pictures are out there. Miley's squeaky clean brand image is quickly changing to match her peers. I'm sure the Hannah Montana brand will weather this storm, and probably grow even stronger. It makes you wonder how much of this PR is real and how much is manufactured.
