I found the ad pictured below on Womenkind's blog yesterday for Propel Water, and I have to agree with the majority of people who took the poll over there and say, "What the hell?" I'm at a loss for words for how bad I think this ad is, not just as a marketer but also as a member of the assumed target audience - mothers living amidst the mayhem that is children.

I don't even know where to begin on this one. I'm literally at a loss for words. I feel like the woman in this ad on a normal day. I certainly don't need caffeinated water to help me through. I need something to mellow me out and alleviate my stress.
Instead of showing a woman who is losing it (as most mothers would feel in this situation), this ad should show a woman who is using a product that helps her achieve greater patience and inner peace. That's what mothers want. I don't need help in getting my eyes to pop out of my head and smoke to come out of my ears. I want a product that can do the opposite and stop those things from happening. I don't believe that caffeinated Propel would help me in this situation at all.
Your thoughts ....

I dunno about the ad, but i want some caffinated water.
I think what the ad tries to do is get us to relate to the situation. And not to a cure.
It got my attention, altho i'm not a mum ;p
